Hello everyone! Today I have started a requested review blogpost. Today, I offered to write a review on the Bourjois healthy mix serum, so I will start straight away!

Lets start with the obvious, packaging! This foundation caught my eye as it is quite a slim, tall and unique shape.It also has an image of some fruits on the frount, which made it a little more interesting to read about. On the packaging, it claims that it has “16 hrs radiance-boosing”, which I agree with the fact it is radience boosting, but I would say it lasts for the maximum of 8 hours, without powder top-up.It also says that it is a gel foundation. I believe this is right, as it is quite dewy, but leaves a very beautiful finish.

Talking about the finish, I agree when bourjois say it gives a “flawless” finish, as it covers up the majority of redness and imperfections, while also looking natural, and even.It also gives quite a dewy finish, hence the “gel” style foundation, so if you prefer a matte finish, I reccomend either using a foundation, or not using this foundation at all. In addition to this, I brought the shade 52 “Vanille” or Vanilla, which was a good match to my pale skin, but I am under the impression that they do not have a wide variety in color range.This foundation is also quite yellow toned, so I recommed that if you have more pink coloured skin, that you think twice, before you buy this product.

This product also smells amazing, and very fruity and fresh, this instantly attracted me to the product more, but if you do not like scented foundations, I reccomend that you do not purchase this.

Also, the finsh of this foundation feels very light and natural. It also felt like I was not wearing anything on my skin, so thats a bonus!I think this foundation is great for a school, collage or work day. I also enjoy wearing it on holiday, as it feels so light. Although I reccomed putting on some suncream before hand, as this foundation does not inclde SPF. 

This product is also super affordable, it retails in boots and superdrug, for I think £9.99.You can also buy this on fragrencedirect online.

All in all, I very much reccomed!

Before I start, I have to make a huge appology to all of you! This post should have been written over two months ago, and I have been super busy! I hope you enjoy reading this, and I would love for you to share this post with all your friends! I am trying from now on, to find any spare peice of time, to make a blog post. Anyway, thats enough rambling, lets start with what I loved from what 2013, had to offer!

The NYX jumbo eye pencil:

I purchased this product when I travelled to Spain last summer. It is in the shade 608, which is Cottage Chese (I think)! It is a beautiful shimmery/light white/silver colour, which can be used as an eyeshadow base, tearduct highlight, and more! I really love using it as a tearduct highlight, as it is super brightning, and it is easy to apply, with the thick pencil shape!The consistancy is also very creamy and soft, and it would be suitable for a school or work day, when you are feeling and looking tired!

The rimmel stay matte powder is also a favorite of mine. I have combination skin, and it is lovely and soft on my skin. It also lightly covers my redness, and it stays on for around 4 hours. Rimmel have a great range of colours, and shades, and they also have a translucent one, if you are planning on having a natural matte finish. Strongly reccomend!

The bourgois healthy mix serum was also lovely and light for my skin.It has a fantasic colour range, and it is made with natural products. It also smells amazing, very fruity and fresh!It lasts around 6/7 hours on my skin, while feeling like there is nothing on your skin at all!Not heavy or cakey at all!

The real techniques expert face brush, is also amazing. I recieved this before christmas, and I literally use it every day. It is a very versitle brush, and when it comes to cleaning it, the bristles on the brush do not become weak, or fall out. It is also super soft, and gentle towards the skin, and gives a flawless finish. Great value for money.

Even though the naked basics pallete is pretty pricey, it is fantasic value for money. There are 5 matte shades, and one shimmery highlight. All eyeshadows are very wearable, and are very versitle! They can be used for a natural day makeup look, and can be easily turned into a smokey night look. The packaging is also very cute, and can be easily put into your everyday bag, for on the go!

Taylor swift wonderstruck perfume: 5/5 (Lovely everyday perfume)

Essence mascara: 4.5/5 (Fantasic for everyday use, very volumising!)

Collection concelar: 5/5 (Best concelar I have ever tried)

Loreal toner: 4/5 (Very good toner for day and night use)

Hello everyone! I was shopping a couple days ago, and I thought I would take a risk, and buy a deep red lipstick! I was inspired to purchase this off Zoe on Youtube (Zoella) and I am loving it so far!

I thought I would challenge myself, and be more interesting, by buying a red lipstick.Aside the gorgeous color it is, I do believe that this is more suitable for the colder seasons, so that is when I am most excited to use it!It is extremely pigmented, which is fantastic, and therefore means, that it glides on the lip very smoothly!

We also need a minute to talk about the smell…. It smells delicious! It is difficult to explain the scent, sort of fruity and tropical I guess, so thumbs up! I also thought the packaging was lovely! The color choice is really nice, and stands out. Also, I love Kate Moss’s signature on each lipstick, it adds a great, unique touch, and I find it just simply cool how my name is Katie, so it sort of looks like its made for me, hahaha!

The lasting power of this lipstick is good to, it lasts for around just over half the day, but I recommend using a lip liner underneath, for longer lasting power.

All in all, I thoroughly recommend these lipsticks,  their formula is beautiful! If you would like a “How to wear” red lipsticks, let me know, I would be more than happy to do a blog post on it!

Holiday daisy nails!

Hello everyone,

I am going to Spain in 2 days, and I really wanted to publish at least 1 more blog before I leave.I got my inspiration for these nails on Youtube. This nail look is great for the spring and summer!

I literally just grabbed a toothpick and did around 4-5 white dots, for the petals, and a gold dot in the middle. I used Essie’s mint candy apple as my base, which you can buy in boots for around £7.99. If you have any questions or comments, leave them below, this took me around 30 mins, if your patient, and its really quite easy!

Helloooo! Today I popped out in a break, and went shopping.This included popping into Wilkinsons (the shop!).I have been searching for a decent highlighter, and cream blusher for long enough, and I came across this!It was in the Collection stand, for around the £4-5 mark. But……. I found a clearance bucket, and I found the exact same product for £1.00,yes….£1.00! I was super excited, I had to buy it!

The consistency is fairly thin, and quite pigmented.The colour pay off is also very good, I was very impressed.The blusher is more matte, whereas the highlighter is a bit shimmery.Personally, I found that the product lasted the most of the day, and was worth the pound!

I just wanted to show you all the colour pay-off I had received, when I swatched it.All I all, I believe that this is a fairly good, handy, handbag sized, touch up product!I would rate this 4/5, and is definitely worth the money.You can purchase this at Superdrug and Wilkinsons.

Britney Spears “Fantasy” 30ml bottle

I first smelt this perfume when a friend of mine was wearing it, I loved it and I had to buy it!This perfume is very much a sweet, girly perfume, and I am very girly, so this perfume matched the type of person I am.This perfume is also very strong, and lasts all day, it also does not need to be reapplied through out the day, it’s fantastic!

I also really love the packaging! I think it is very cute and girly.The bright pink definitely represents the sugary sweet smell, and the diamonds create the interesting and edgy look to the bottle.Tied with Wonder struck by Taylor Swift, this is also my favorite perfume.It is a easy wear perfume, and perfect for most ages.

Review: Simple “Kind to skin refreshing facial wash gel”

I do not really suffer with many spots, but now and again I do, therefore everyday I have to use a facial wash, then I have to tone my skin, followed by moisturizing.Earlier this year, I thought I should be trying a different facial gel, as my old one was not making any difference to my skin.My mum came home one day with this Simple facial gel. I had heard of the brand, and had been impressed by their other products brought ( Simple “Kind to skin soothing facial toner” ).

Simple refreshing facial wash gel, excuse the fake nails!

After a few months, I really started to notice a difference in my skin. I am an oily-combination skin, and my skin looked more brighter, and I had less spots :D. A couple months on from that I am still using this facial scrub, and I believe it really does work!

The gel guarantees it “actively restores, softens and smoothes” it also says it will  “not upset your skin”, which I most definitely agree with!After I wash with this gel and tone, there is no makeup residue left, therefore proving that it takes all my excess makeup off my face!I recommend this product to teenagers or people with spot prone skin,or those with an oily or oily-combination skin type.

All my family love Simple products!

In the UK this product can be found in big supermarket stores ( Tesco, etc…) Boots and Superdrug, even Amazon!It retails between £1.99 and £3.99.

I rate this gel 4.5 out of 5, the consistency is a little sticky, but is not that bad.
